Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
1. Who we are
AlpHexa is a Switzerland-based company that builds web applications and websites. This policy covers our website at https://alphexa.ch and the privacy-friendly analytics service we provide to our clients.
2. Analytics we collect
When you visit a website that uses AlpHexa analytics, we collect the following anonymized, non-personal data:
- Page visited — which page you viewed (e.g. “/about”)
- Referrer — the website that linked you here (e.g. “google.com”)
- Device type — desktop or mobile
- Browser & OS — e.g. Chrome on Windows
- Approximate location — country and city, derived from your IP address then immediately discarded (see below)
3. How we protect your privacy
- No cookies. We do not set any cookies. We use a temporary session identifier stored in your browser’s
sessionStorage, which is automatically deleted when you close the tab. - IP addresses are never stored. Your IP address is used only to determine your approximate location (country/city). It is then irreversibly hashed with a daily-rotating salt and truncated. The original IP cannot be recovered.
- No fingerprinting. We do not use browser fingerprinting, advertising identifiers, or any cross-site tracking technology.
- No personal data. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any information that could identify you personally.
- No data sharing. Analytics data is only accessible to the website owner. We do not sell, share, or transfer data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Geo-location lookup
To determine your approximate country and city, we send your IP address to ip-api.com in a single server-side request. This is a transient lookup — your IP is not stored by us and ip-api.com’s privacy policy governs their handling of that request. The resulting location is rounded to approximately 11 km precision before being saved.
5. Data retention
Anonymized analytics data is retained for as long as the website owner maintains their account. Since no personal data is stored, there is no personal data to delete.
6. Your rights
Because we do not collect or store personal data, GDPR data subject requests (access, deletion, portability) do not apply to our analytics. If you have questions, contact us at the address below.
7. Applicable law
This policy is governed by Swiss law, including the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP/DSG). Our analytics approach is designed to comply with the GDPR and the Swiss nFADP without requiring cookie consent banners.
